"Realization To Awaken in a Fright"
2006
Steel, Cast Aluminum, Light Source, Textiles
1' 5" x 1' 5" x 5' 6"
This piece is the second in my "passing" series. This piece represents the hightened scare that my brother experienced as he awoke from sleep in an ambulance. The light source at the bottom is to make the piece appear as a weightless, uplifting of the figure.
This version of the figure is suspended on the same type of pillow as the first piece in the series. This is to show the awakening from the comfort zone, into fear.
