This is one of the few sculptural wall pieces that I have done. This piece reminds me of an abstracted crucifix in a way. Very religious in the aspect of a lone figure on a flat linear environment as if he is pinned to it.
This evident religious influence makes the piece ominous and visually interesting. Also, the slate gives an idea of black water washing over an impaled figure.
